Sd.Kfz 184 Elefant Heavy Tank Destroyer

The Elefant heavy tank destroyer was the result of a series of upgrades and modifications to the earlier Ferdinand type. Based on unused prototype chassis for the Tiger programme, the Elefant was five tonnes heavier than its predecessor, and boasted thicker frontal armour and wider tracks. Capable of destroying virtually all Allied armour and long range, the Elefant never served in numbers, but proved extremely dangerous when used correctly.

Armed with a monstrously powerful 88mm gun, and protected by thick frontal armour, the Elefant gives German players some serious anti-tank punch in their Armoured Platoons. Particularly deadly when used from Ambush, one of these beasts can hold down an entire flank – and two or more can be utterly lethal to enemy armour!

This vehicle can also be used in games of Achtung Panzer!, the game of close-quarters tank-on-tank combat, where it boasts one of the deadliest main guns in the game. Full rules can be found in the Achtung Panzer! rulebook.
